Melua Watson
Melua started Writeclick with Duncan in 2005 and is our resident content strategy and plain English specialist. She has been writing web content since 2001, with speech writing and magazine writing stints along the way.
Melua has been on the judging panel of the WriteMark New Zealand Plain English Awards for the past three years, and is this year helping to judge the American Centre for Plain Language’s ClearMark Awards.
In a previous life Melua worked in public sector communications and public relations. She has a political science degree and post-graduate diplomas in journalism and public relations.
Melua balances her work life with plenty of family time, beach time, and compulsively rearranging her garden.
Duncan Munro
Duncan is Writeclick’s managing director and lead editor. His background is in journalism, corporate communications and all things web content.
Before starting Writeclick he spent more than 10 years developing web strategy and managing content for large organisations as well as a couple of arty farty ones like the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Duncan has an English literature degree and diplomas in journalism and public relations.
When he’s not working he’s surfing or studying weather maps.
